The Great Valley Chapter encourages patriotism and love of country. We honor our veterans and patriots.

DAR Constitution Week: Members attend Constitution Week activities each September to commemorate our forefathers' work on the Constitution. Events include memorial events at Washington Square in Philadelphia and a luncheon held in cooperation with the Philadelphia-Continental Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution.

Veterans: Chapter members honor our veterans at the Coatesville VA Medical Center, Coatesville Pennsylvania, by providing financial contributions, personal visits, and new clothing. Canceled stamps are collected and sent to Stamps for the Wounded, Dunn Loring, Virginia, for use as occupational therapy for our veterans.

Naturalization: Our Chapter distributes the DAR Manual for Citizenship to those seeking citizenship and participates in naturalization ceremonies at the Chester County Courthouse.

The Flag of the USA: Our Chapter donates Flags for use by scout troups, churches, schools, and businesses.
